Mostly, we've just been biding our time through these cold, cold days of winter, but I do have a cute story to share from the day of President Obama's inauguration. Mateo and I got in the car after music class and tuned in just in time for Obama to start his speech. Not living very far out of town, we arrived home right in the middle of it. I turned the car off and Mateo said, "No turn it off!". To understand the significance of this you have to know that (1) Mateo hates when I listen to "talk" radio, i.e. not music, and (2) Mateo has only made this request a handful of times when he's particular enjoying a song we're listening to. Well, my eyes brimmed with tears as I turned the radio back on and we sat and listened to Obama's speech together. Of course a few minutes later Mateo decided it was time for a snack and he wanted to go in the house "RIGHT NOW!", but still...
Also, here's one last photo from Christmas Eve - a great one of Uncle George and Mateo.
