Y is for...

Yummy!
Need I say more?

Well, yes. Y is also for "Why?" which Mateo is asking all the time. I thought that "why" thing was supposed to happen at a much earlier age and that we had missed it. But no. Everything now is "why, what, when, where, who". (Maybe this should have been the "W" post) But mostly "why". To which half of the time an answer is given, and the other half of the time it is turned around: "I don't know, Mateo. You tell ME why". Because half of the time he asks even when he knows. Such a conversationalist.

X is for...

XingXing!

Mateo and Aixing met in a music class a couple of years ago and they have been taking various classes together ever since, sometimes pretending not to know each other and sometimes acting like siblings. Here they are at Gold Medal Park after a private class with the fabulous Miss Ellen.

W is for...

Water!

Mateo has been loving spending time in the water this summer - lakes, pools, puddles - you name it, he's been splashing in it.

Happy Anniversary to Us - 15 Years!

What Happened to July?!?!

Seriously. I can't believe I missed it!

In a nutshell, we hosted parties, went to parties, played volleyball, sweated in the sun and swam. Kevin went to a Twins game with his dad and brother; I taught two weeks of art camp; and to cap it off we took a one-night family vacation where Mateo rode in a kayak for the first time, played tennis for the first time, and slept in a hotel for the first time since Guatemala. The end.

Summer Fun

Soggy Summer

Good thing Mateo has a new umbrella - thanks Uncle Mike!

(Photo was taken at Andrea's graduation open house. Congratulations, Andrea! If anyone has a picture of that beautiful girl from her special day, please do send it!)
