K is for...

K is for Karen, my beautiful mother, who celebrated her 60th birthday last week. No way, you say! No way, I say! Youthful, active and generous – a do-gooder to be sure – she often serves as the voice of reason, the family glue and the uber-organizer among us. Happy birthday to you, Mom. We love you.

K is for Kris Kringle? Ha-ha! (Ho-ho!?) Silly me to think that I would stick to our alphabetical at-home schooling in December. Admittedly, the ABCs have become overshadowed by Christmas trees and Santa Claus and sleighbells. And you won’t hear me complaining one little bit – Christmas comes but once a year, right?
